Buy your official Portimao F1 tickets for the Portuguese Grand Prix 2024!  A chance to visit the F1 in Portugal will not occur very often, though. Last edition, when FORMULA 1 announced the return of the F1 in Portugal, the limited tickets available for this race sold out quickly.

Portuguese Grand Prix packages

Portuguese Grand Prix packages are currently not available yet. When the Portugal F1 tickets are announced, we will publish them on this page. Portuguese GP – The Algarve International Circuit in Portimao

The Algarve International Circuit is the venue for the Grand Prix of Portugal – Portimão 2024. The racetrack can host up to 100,000 spectators, is 4,692 meters long and located in Portimão, Portugal. In  Portuguese the circuit is called Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. However, the track is commonly referred to as Portimão Circuit. In addition to the racing circuit, the complex also contains a go-kart track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments. The Grand Prix of Portugal – Portimão is therefore a nice addition to the 2021 F1 calendar.

The construction team finished building the circuit in October 2008. The track was then approved by both the FIM on October 11, 2008 and the FIA ​​two days later.

The designer of the circuit is Ricardo Pina, Arquitectos. In October 2010, the teams agreed to add the Portimão Circuit along with Bahrain to the FORMULA 1 testing schedule.

Portugal Capital Ventures acquired the company managing the circuit, Parkalgar Serviços, in September 2013. This is a Portuguese state-owned company that is active in the field of venture capital. This has effectively placed the circuit under state management. The sale was heralded by the debts of Parkalgar Serviços at the time.

Portugal Grand Prix – Portimao 2020

On July 25, 2020, the FIA ​​announced that the circuit would host the Portuguese FORMULA 1 Grand Prix from October 23-25, 2020, as part of a revised calendar. The latter is of course the result of the cancelled races due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Portugal Grand Prix – Portimao 2021

In mid-February 2021, the FIA ​​announces that the 3rd race weekend of 2021, until then left empty due to the withdrawal of the Vietnamese GP, will be awarded to Portugal. This ensures that the Portuguese GP will also return to the F1 calendar in 2021 under the name: Portuguese Grand Prix – Portimão 2021.
