On this page you can order your official tickets for the Italian Grand Prix 2024 safely and easily. The Italian Grand Prix will be held at Monza.

Monza offers a wide selection of grandstands, but they are grouped around only a handful of the main turns around the circuit. First, Prima Variante (first chicane). Second, Seconda Variante (second chicane). Third, Variante Ascari (Ascari chicane). Finally, Parabolica (last corner), as well as the grandstands next to start-finish. General Admission tickets at Monza are excellent, despite a lack of elevated viewpoints.

Italian Grand Prix Ticket Tips

Good to know:

  • First, all grandstands (plus some General Admission Areas) offer views on a large TV screen
  • Second, even grandstands are permanent, covered structures. The other stands are temporary structures
  • Third, children aged 11 and under get free access to the General Admission Areas. However, you still need to reserve a free ticket if you order one yourself (not yet available for 2024).
  • In addition, grandstand tickets for children (age 0-11) have been significantly reduced in price. Only bookable in combination with a full price ticket.
  • Furthermore, day tickets for grandstands on Saturday or Sunday are available on request. Saturday tickets for the stands are affordable and should be considered if you are unable to attend on Sunday. Sunday grandstands tickets are about the same price as three-day tickets and that is why we do not recommend these tickets.
  • Finally, fans in wheelchairs will have free access to the General Admission Areas all weekend. Grandstand N25 is specifically reserved for wheelchair users.

Pit Straight

Monza features eight grandstands along the start-finish straight (Rettifilo Grandstand), catering to a range of budgets. These include the pricier covered central grandstands, providing an excellent view of the start-finish line but limited on-track action. For cost-conscious fans, stands without reserved seat numbers (free seats) are recommended.

The expansive covered Central Grandstand (Grandstand 1) commands the highest prices. Flanking this central stand are the Left Lateral (Tribune 4) and Right Laterals (Stands 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30). Pricing correlates with the views offered—Left Lateral is positioned beyond the start line, while the premium Right Lateral stand is closest to the start line. The more economical grandstands in this area are situated towards the right, near the exit of the final Curva Parabolica bend. For optimal stage celebration views, the most affordable Right Lateral stand (Tribune 26c) is recommended. All these stands provide cover.

Midway between the start-finish and turn 1 is Piscina (Grandstand 5), a less recommended and budget-friendly option. At the opposite end of the same straight, closer to the Parabolica exit, is the covered Vedano (Tribune 24), offering a superior choice for a slightly higher cost.

Prima Variante Grandstands

Monza boasts five grandstands at the first chicane, Prima Variante. Three stands are positioned on the inside of the circuit (Alta Velocita A, B & C or Grandstand 6A, 6B, and 6C), while two are located on the outside (Esterna Prima Variante A & B or Grandstand 8A and 8B). These grandstands, known for their outstanding views, come with premium prices due to their popularity.

For the inside of the circuit, Alta Velocita C (Grandstand 6C) is the top choice, situated directly behind a section of the old Monza circuit. Although farther from the bend, the more budget-friendly Alta Velocita B (Tribune 6B) and Alta Velocita A (Tribune 6A) still provide decent views. On the outside of the circuit, a large grandstand is divided into two sections: Esterna Prima Variante A (Grandstand 8A) offers a superior track view compared to Esterna Prima Variante B (Grandstand 8B), albeit at a higher cost.

Seconda Variante Grandstands

Inside the circuit at the second chicane, known as Seconda Variante, after the third corner in Monza, you’ll find two grandstands. Here, you witness the F1 cars emerging from the high-speed Curva Grande corner, a lengthy bend offering multiple racing lines, before braking for the chicane, providing excellent overtaking opportunities. Seconda Variante (Tribune 9) is a superior choice compared to Roggia (Tribune 10). However, note that these stands are somewhat isolated from the central action in Monza. It takes at least 30 minutes on foot to reach these stands from most entrance gates.

Variante Ascari Grandstands

Eight grandstands are positioned inside the circuit near Variante Ascari, the fast eighth corner in Monza, known for its overtaking opportunities. The prime views are found in the middle of the bend at the Ascari Uno grandstand (Grandstand 15). Ascari Tre (Tribune 12) is situated at the entrance and close to the track, Ascari Due (Tribune 13) is located behind the gravel trap in the middle of the corner, and Ascari (Tribune 16) is placed at the exit. The outer Ascari stands (Stands 18, 19, and 20) are on the straight between Variante Ascari and Curva Parabolica: Uscita Ascari B (Tribune 19) and Uscita Ascari C (Tribune 20) are small covered stands, but there are better views available for the same price.

Curva Parabolica Grandstands

Approaching the final corner, Curva Parabolica, in Monza, there are five temporary and one permanent (covered) grandstand on the outside of the circuit. This corner is one of the most famous on the current Formula 1 calendar. Tickets for the permanent and covered Parabolica (Tribune 22) are closest to the bend. The Laterale Parabolica Grandstands are priced based on their proximity to the final turn: Laterale Parabolica A (Tribune 21A) is closest to the turn and is preferable to Laterale Parabolica B (Tribune 21B) for the same price. In the lower price range, Laterale Parabolica C (Tribune 21C) is a better choice than Laterale Parabolica D (Tribune 21D) or Laterale Parabolica E (Tribune 21E). Two additional grandstands are inside the circuit at the exit of the Parabolica corner, near the entrance to the pit lane. There is minimal difference between these two stands, so the more affordable Parabolica Interna A (Tribune 23A) is a superior choice to Parabolica Interna B (Tribune 23B).

General Admission (prato)

The General Admission Tickets (standing) at Monza present excellent value for money. This is especially true during ‘Free Friday,’ where you can occupy a seat in any stand irrespective of your ticket. If you’re willing to cover a considerable distance on foot during the weekends, you can discover fantastic viewing spots with a direct line of sight to the track action and the picturesque surroundings. Exploring the circuit is more convenient on Friday, before the influx of Ferrari fans for qualifying and the race. Within the general admission areas, you’ll find numerous small bleachers and raised viewing spots. A complete F1 experience at Monza involves a stroll through the forest to the furthest section of the circuit to enjoy the view from the Curve di Lesmo (turns 4 and 5). Additionally, the general entrance area on the inside of Curva Parabolica is a noteworthy viewing recommendation.

Italian Grand Prix Ticket Tips

Good to know:

  • All grandstands (plus some General Admission Areas) offer views on a large TV screen;
  • Seven grandstands are permanent, covered structures. The other stands are temporary structures;
  • Children aged 11 and under get free access to the General Admission Areas, but you still need to reserve a free ticket if you order one yourself (not yet available for 2022);
  • Day tickets for grandstands on Saturday or Sunday are available on request. Saturday tickets for the stands are affordable and should be considered if you are unable to attend on Sunday.
  • Fans in wheelchairs will have free access to the General Admission Areas all weekend. Grandstand N25 is specifically reserved for wheelchair users.

Pit Straight

Eight grandstands are located at the start-finish straight (Rettifilo Grandstand) in Monza, ranging in price from the most expensive covered central grandstands to the more affordable and economical grandstands with no reserved seat numbers. As always with grandstand seats on the main straight opposite pit lane, you get great views of the start-finish line and team garages, but little chance for a lot of action on track. For fans on a limited budget, we recommend the stands without seat numbers (free seating in the grandstand).

Grandstand 1, 4 and 26A,B,C

Seats in the large covered Central Grandstand (Grandstand 1) is the most expensive in Monza. Adjacent to either side of the central covered grandstand are the Left Lateral (Grandstand 4) and Right Laterals (Grandstands 26A, 26B, 26C). The price gives you a good idea of which grandstands have the best views – the Left Lateral is beyond the start line, while the most expensive Right Lateral grandstand is closest to the start line. The cheaper grandstands in this area are located further to the right, close to the exit of the last corner Curva Parabolica. If you want the best view of the podium celebrations, the cheapest Right Lateral grandstand (Grandstand 26c) is the one you want. All these stands are covered.

Grandstand 5 and 24

Roughly halfway between start-finish and turn 1 you will find Piscina (Grandstand 5), a cheap and lonely grandstand that we do not recommend. At the other end of the same straight, closer to the Parabolica exit, is the covered Vedano (Grandstand 24), a much better choice for a few dollars more.

Prima Variante Grandstands

Five grandstands are located at the first chicane, called Prima Variante (or First Chicane in English) in Monza. There are three grandstands on the inner side of the circuit (Grandstand 6A, 6B and 6C) and two grandstands on the outside of the circuit (Grandstand 8A and 8B). These grandstands offer some of the best views in Monza and continue to be immensely popular amongst international fans and Tivosi alike, hence the premium prices.

The smartest choice amongst inner grandstands is Grandstand 6C. As an added bonus, the grandstand is also located directly behind part of the old Monza circuit. The cheaper Grandstand 6B and Grandstand 6A are further away from the bend, but still provide decent views. On the outside of the circuit there is a large grandstand divided into two sections: seats in the more expensive Grandstand 8A are slightly closer to the track action than in Grandstand 8B.

Seconda Variante Grandstands

There are two grandstands on the inside of the circuit at the second chicane, called Seconda Variante, located after the third corner in Monza. You can see the F1 machines coming out of the high-speed Curva Grande corner (nice long corner where drivers can choose multiple racing lines) before braking for the chicane, which offers good overtaking opportunities. Grandstand 9 is a better choice than Grandstand 10. One downside against these stands is their somewhat remote location from the rest of the action in Monza. It takes at least 30 minutes on foot to reach these grandstands from most entrance gates.

Variante Ascari Grandstands

Eight grandstands are located on the inner side of the circuit near Variante Ascari, the fast eighth corner in Monza, with good overtaking possibilities. The best views can be found in the middle of the chicane in Grandstand 15. Grandstand 12 is at the entrance side of the chicane and close to the track, whilst Grandstand 13 is behind the gravel pit in the middle of the turn and Grandstand 16 is at the exit. The outer Ascari stands (Grandstands 18, 19 and 20) are located on the straight between Variante Ascari and Curva Parabolica: Grandstand 19 and Grandstand 20 are small covered grandstands, but visitors can find better views in this price range.

Curva Parabolica Grandstands

Five temporary and one permanent (covered) grandstand are located on the outside of the track when approaching the last corner in Monza, coined Curva Parabolica. It is also one of the most famous curves on the current FORMULA 1 calendar. Tickets on the permanent and covered Grandstand 22 are closest to the bend. The temporary grandstands are priced according to how close they are to the last corner: Grandstand 21A is closest to the corner and is, for example, a better choice than Grandstand 21B which retails for the same price. In the lower price range, Grandstand 21C is a better choice than Grandstand 21D or 21E.

Two additional grandstands are located on the inside of the circuit at the exit of the Parabolica corner, near the entrance to the pit lane. There is not much to choose between these two stands, so the cheaper Grandstand 23A offers better value than Grandstand 23B.

General Admission (Prato)

The General Admission Tickets (free roaming tickets) at Monza offer excellent value for money. Especially when you take into account “Free Friday”. Here you can take a seat in any grandstand regardless of your ticket. If you are willing to walk several miles during the race weekend, it is possible to find some excellent viewing points. These have direct views of the track action and the park-like surroundings. As always, it’s easier to tour the track on Friday before the Ferrari Tivosi arrive in bulk for qualifying and the race. There are plenty of small bleachers and raised viewing areas scattered around the general admission area. No Formual 1 trip to Monza is complete without a walk through the forest to the farthest part of the circuit to check out the views from the Curve di Lesmo (turns 4 and 5). The general access area on the inside of Curva Parabolica is also a good viewing tip.
