Ticket Tips
Choosing where to sit at the Bahrain International Circuit is easier than most circuits; only five different types of tickets are offered. Prices are affordable, especially if you do this with the early bird discount. All grandstands are covered, but this is less of an issue now that most track action in Bahrain takes place at night when temperatures are lower. The FORMULA 1 Grand Prix on Sunday takes place in the evening.
As on most circuits, tickets in the Main Grandstand opposite the pit boxes are the most expensive in Sakhir. These are great for pit action, pre-race build-up, the start and finish, but you won’t get much of an overtake or other on-track action.
Most overtaking takes place in Turn 1, making the Turn 1 Grandstand the best option if you want to see a lot of action. You will see the cars from the start/finish going through turns 1, 2 and 3 towards turn 4 and the merging from the pit exit happens right in front of you.
The second most expensive tickets can be found at the Oasis (Batelco) Complex. Here’s our pick for the best Bahrain GP tickets. It offers a great view of turns 7-10. With plenty of unobstructed views, Oasis is also the best place for amateur F1 photographers.
Other great options
If you’re looking for the action in the early corners, we recommend the cheaper University Complex beyond the Turn 1 grandstand, especially as you get a view of the front of the cars rather than the rear of the cars. University – which consists of three grandstands – is definitely the best choice for fans on a budget. The best place to sit is at the top of University 2.
Finally, the Victory Complex is another good budget option with two grandstands (each with their own big screen TV) on the last few corners of the circuit. Victory 1 is better for turns 11-12, while Victory 2 offers a view of the final turn.
