Saudi Arabian GP – the 33rd debuting country on the F1 calendar
In 2021, Saudi Arabia became the 33rd country to host a race weekend during the Formula One World Championship. On March 27, 2022, the country hosts the second ever Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Jeddah – host to FORMULA 1
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix takes place in the country’s second-largest city – Jeddah. The city is located on the country’s west coast. The race is held on a street circuit in the evenings, making the comparison with the Singapore GP an easy one. The latter race is one of our absolute favorites! There are already plans to hold the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia on a more permanent circuit. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is organized in partnership with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.
Jeddah Street Circuit
The Jeddah Street Circuit will be located along the shores of the Red Sea. Jeddah is a picturesque city of about 3.5 million inhabitants, located on the beautiful coast of the Red Sea. The final layout of the circuit is not confirmed yet. That’s why there is no circuit image on this page. However, we do know that the circuit will be located on the Corniche – a coastal area of 30 km in the city. As such, we expect part of the track to run along the coast. This offers a beautiful natural backdrop for the racing action.
