Monaco Grand Prix Tickets Tips
Good to know:
- First, children between 6 and 15 years old get free admission on Thursdays (but you still need to reserve a ticket). In addition, they get about 40% discount on weekend tickets.
- Second, seats in grandstands are not reserved on Thursdays – free roaming is possible.
- In addition, with the exception of a small part of Grandstand T, none of the grandstands in Monaco are covered. Check the weather forecast before hitting the track to be well-prepared.
- Finally, grandstand seats in Monaco are bleaches or individual backless seats. Thus, bring a cushion to make your day more comfortable.
What are our best seating choices for the Monaco GP?
The biggest and best grandstands in Monaco (and the best atmosphere) can be found in the harbour complex from Tabac to La Rascasse. Grandstand K is a safe bet, as are O and T which both have a view of the pits. Grandstand B in Casino Square is overpriced and does not offer a good view in our opinion, but it is an iconic location and worth seeing on Thursdays.
Grandstands
Grandstand K is a large and popular harbour grandstand with beautiful views from the exit of the Nouvelle Chicane, Tabac turn and up to the entrance of the swimming pool complex. Seats in the top row of K also offer a view behind the grandstand to the pit lane, start-finish and turn 1 (Sainte Devote).
Grandstand L is located next to the Rainier III swimming pool with a view of the last bend in the pool complex and the pits. Not the cheapest grandstand in Monaco, but a solid choice if you are visiting for the first time and want to get a full taste of the atmosphere.
Grandstand O (Piscine Plongeur) is the highest of the three grandstands in the harbour opposite the swimming pool area. If you can afford it, O is a better choice than N or P as the views are better. You will also get a far view of the pit lane – so bring binoculars! All three grandstands have a view of a large screen TV.
Visiting Monaco GP on a budget?
Monaco has two General Admission Areas for F1 fans on a budget. Rocher is a hill that overlooks the last two turns of the lap and Z1 is located at the entrance to the port section of the track between the Nouvelle Chicane and Tabac. We would choose Z1 because of the harbour location, where you feel that you are much more part of the atmosphere on track.
