The Las Vegas Grand Prix is back! On this page, we already share all the available information regarding the F1 Las Vegas GP in 2023.
The Las Vegas street circuit returns on the FORMULA 1 calendar for 2023. It’s the third FORMULA 1 Grand Prix weekend in the United States.
This time, glitz and glamour take center stage as the drivers race down the Las Vegas Strip at over 340 km/h. A tip for European viewers, the Grand Prix is held on Saturday evening (local time). In addition, this Grand Prix will also feature the first night race in the United States.
For all current drivers, the Las Vegas street circuit will be their first FORMULA 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas. Michelle Alboreto (1982) and Alan Jonse (1981) won earlier editions of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The event was then known as the Caesars Palace Grand Prix. That refers to the very well-known casino of the same name. The location of the circuit in Las Vegas is almost the same as in the 80s, but it is now expected to attract more than 170,000 visitors.
For the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the strip and more than 6 kilometers of the roads in Las Vegas convert into a street circuit. The Las Vegas circuit features 14 turns, 3 straights, and 2 DRS zones. Furthermore, the track meanders between the biggest casinos such as Caesars, MGM and Whynn. On the longest straight and just before Turn 11, the drivers will pass the Bellagio Fountain, which for years was the largest fountain show in the world.
