Passport and Visa requirements
In order to visit Singapore, you need a valid passport which is valid for at least 6 months after entering the country. Inhabitants of most countries do not need a Visa when travelling to Singapore for less than 30 days. You can check whether you need a Visa using the following link.
COVID-19 requirement
In order to enter Singapore you’ll need to have received all vacinations for the Covid-19 virus. Please contact you’re local ministery of foreign afaires to check requirements for your country.
Electricity
For Singapore there are three associated plug types C, G and M. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins, plug type G has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern and type M is the plug that has three round pins. Singapore operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
Currency
The official currency of Singapore is the Singapore Dollar. The Singapore Dollar is also known by its abbreviation SGD and can be recognized by the $ symbol. You can find the current currency rates for the euro (€) and dollar ($) and pound sterling (£) using the links.
You will find ATMs everywhere in Singapore, such as in banks, MRT stations, shopping malls and on the street. You can also pay with a debit or credit card in most places, except in shops in the more local districts.
Weather
Singapore is located just above the equator and therefore has no summer or winter season. The temperature always hovers around 31 degrees. At night the temperature is around 23 degrees. The humidity is high.
The country’s only seasons are the wet (October to April) and dry (May to September) monsoons. However, the differences between the wet and the dry season are not that remarkable.
Visiting the circuit
It is advisable to bring sunscreen and possibly an umbrella to the circuit for shade and possibly a downpour. Taking pictures is allowed as long as you do not obstruct the view of other spectators. Don’t forget your spare battery and memory card!
