Accommodation

The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins is a 4-star hotel located next to the Southern Cross Station. This historic hotel features a restaurant and bar where you can enjoy delicious dining and drinks. Additionally, you can relax in the hotel’s spa or blow off steam in the gym.

The rooms are non-smoking and equipped with a comfortable Queen size bed or Twin Single beds. There is also a mini bar, coffee and tea facilities, air conditioning, and WiFi available in the room.

You can easily explore Melbourne due to the hotels location next to the Southern Cross Station. With the tram, you can visit all the hotspots of this great city without any problems. During the Formula 1 weekend, a tram departs from here directly to the Albert Park circuit.

 

Transfers

During the Grand Prix weekend there will be trams going directly to the Albert Park Circuit. These trams are free of charge when you have a ticket to the Australian Grand Prix. The trams will depart from the Southern Cross Station, located directly across from the Savoy on Collins Hotel.

F1 Australia GP circuit layout

Fangio Grandstand: Provides an excellent view of the race start buildup, pit lane, and opening moments, albeit at a higher cost.

Moss Grandstand: Positioned for a great view of Turn 1, offers good value for money without being among the highest-priced options.

Jones Grandstand: Adjacent to Moss, offers views of Turns 1 and 2 at a slightly higher cost.

Brabham Grandstand: Opposite Jones, provides superior views of Turns 1 and 2 and justifies its higher price with exceptional views.

Hill Grandstand: Situated at Turn 3, offers prime viewing of overtaking maneuvers at a moderate price point.

Ricciardo Grandstand: It is an affordable option with limited views.

Button Grandstand: An affordable choice at Turn 8, provides excellent views at a good price point.

Webber Grandstand: Offers a decent view at Turn 11 but may not stand out compared to other options.

Lauda Grandstand: Positioned at Turn 12, provides optimal views at a reasonable price.

Schumacher Grandstand: Offers prime viewing at Turns 14 and 15, opposite the pit lane entrance, known for its excellent value.

Prost Grandstand: Located at Turn 16, offers great value for money despite being one of the pricier options.

Senna Grandstand: Adjacent to Prost, provides a clear view of the pit lane and main straight but comes at a higher price.
