The Istanbul Park Circuit will host the Turkish Grand Prix in 2027. The circuit has a spectator capacity of approximately 155,000 people. The venue features a modern pit complex, garages, a media centre, and all the necessary facilities required to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Construction of the circuit was completed in 2005 and it was approved by the FIA. In that same year, Formula 1 held the first ever Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park.

The Istanbul Park Circuit has a length of 5.338 kilometres and features 14 corners. The race will be contested over 58 laps.

Review of the last two races in 2020 & 2021:

Turkish Grand Prix 2020:

The 2020 Turkish Grand Prix was held on 15 November. The event was added to the Formula 1 calendar due to races being cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The track was extremely slippery because of newly laid asphalt, combined with rain before and during the race. During this event, Lewis Hamilton secured his seventh World Championship title, equalling Michael Schumacher’s record of seven championships.

Turkish Grand Prix 2021:

The 2021 Turkish Grand Prix was held on 10 October. The race was added to the Formula 1 calendar due to the cancellation of the Canadian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix. Valtteri Bottas ultimately dominated the race, taking victory for Mercedes.
