Campings Hungary

Below you will find frequently asked questions about campsites during the Hungarian Grand Prix. We do our best to collect the information as accurate as we can.
Are there food and beverage facilities at the campground?

Most campsites have basic food and beverage options, but don’t expect too much of these. Also, the campsites determine what they offer themselves; Race Experience has no influence on that.

There is also plenty of food and drink available on and around the track almost all day. Of course, you can also bring your own food and drink to the campsites. You are allowed to bring your own alcohol, but we do not recommend bringing glass bottles. In fact, many campsites do not allow glass containers. Instead, you can bring cans of alcohol.

Can I safely leave my belongings at the campground?

Security is present at almost all campsites. In the evenings, the security team is augmented by additional guards.

We kindly ask that you keep your valuables and personal belongings safely locked or with you. The campground and Race Experience cannot take responsibility for loss and/or damage to your belongings.

Do I have access to water and electricity at the camping?

Yes, you have access to water and electricity at the campsites. You can use Type F plugs at the campground. Power generators are not allowed. Appliances that use a lot of electricity are not allowed – appliances such as an air fryer or deep fryer are generally prohibited in the campgrounds.

  • At Campsites I and II, electricity is included as standard.
  • At Camping Agua, Camping Zengo and Camping Gold you can buy electricity on site.

It is important to note that an F1 campsite is never comparable to a regular campsite in terms of comfort and amenities. Thus, there will be much use of temporary (sanitary) facilities. The campsite is not managed by Race Experience.

Is there alcohol available at the campsite?

Alcohol is sold at an around the campsites.

You are also allowed to bring your own alcohol, but we do not recommend bringing glass bottles. In fact, many campsites do not allow glass containers. Instead, you can bring cans of alcohol.

What are the check-in and check-out times of the campsites?

Camping I and II

  • Check-in is possible throughout the day. You must check in at the reception desk by name and a valid ID. You will also receive another voucher from us. Once you are checked in, you will be given a wristband that gives permission to enter and exit the campground.
  • Leaving the campsite should be done soon after the race on Sunday (if you have booked until Sunday) or at the latest until 10:00 in the morning on Monday (if you have booked until Monday.

Camping Zengo & Gold & Agua

  • Check-in is possible until 23:00. You must check in at the reception by name and a valid ID. You will also receive another voucher from us. Once you are checked in, you will be given a wristband that gives permission to enter and leave the campground.
  • Leaving the campsite should be done soon after the race on Sunday (if you have booked until Sunday) or at the latest until 10:00 in the morning on Monday (if you have booked until Monday.
What are the sanitary facilities like?

There are sanitary facilities, such as toilets and showers, at all Formula One campsites.

However, it is important to note that these are not luxury facilities. They are basic facilities that you should expect from an F1 campsite. The showers are often located in temporary buildings and there can be a queue, especially during busy times (e.g. when everyone comes back after the last Formula One session of the day). Toilets are cleaned a few times a day, but keep in mind that they are used by many people. So be prepared for simple bathroom facilities and be sure to bring your own towels, shampoo and soap.

What are the silence times at the campsite?

At all campsites, it must be silent between 23:00 and 07:00.

It is forbidden to be noisy, make music or drive a car on or off the site during the quiet period. If one returns to the campsite later than the silence period, the car must be parked in the parking lot in front of the campsite entrance.

What means of payment are available at the campsite?

Most campsites allow payment by card and cash. However, we recommend that you bring enough cash – the connection on and around the track is not always good enough to connect to the pin machine

Where is my camping located?
